Confirmation

img-confirmation

While Baptism is the gateway into the Catholic faith, the Sacrament of Confirmation confirms our commitment to our faith and renews our baptismal promises before First Holy Communion. We do this with the help of a sponsor. The sponsor is someone whom we choose - a Catholic who guides us into the faith and readies us to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

“In the year when the children turn eight (Year Three), they are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation administered by the Bishop or his delegate.” Archdiocese of Brisbane Sacramental Policy.

If you feel your child is ready to begin preparation for Confirmation, please complete the Online Enrolment Form below.

The program runs over a period of seven weeks and concludes with the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 7th June at 7.00 p.m. or Saturday 8th June at 4.00 p.m.

Enrolments for Confirmation will open on 1st April and close on 15th April.
