Our Parish has volunteering opportunities to empower our parishioners to actively serve as the living hands and feet of Christ to the community.

Depending on the amount of time you can give, there are many ways to serve your community.
Administration and Grounds Volunteers – Various volunteers assist with the administration of the parish and grounds by volunteering their services in the following ways; being part of the production of the weekly newsletter, creating power points for Masses and liturgies, monitoring social media, maintaining our website and helping with general gardening duties.
Altar Servers -Boy and girl volunteers who are in year 4, and men and women volunteers provide specific assistance to the Priest during Mass and all other Liturgical Celebrations.
Care and Outreach Team – Volunteers in the Care and Outreach team extend a friendly hand, organise events and special occasions, welcome people, offer support in times of need and build community wherever and whenever possible.
Children’s Church Leaders - Children’s Church volunteers and children reflect on the Gospel in an age-appropriate way during the 9 a.m. Sunday Mass on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Children and the volunteers spend part of Mass time in an adjoining room with fun activities, songs and prayers.
Church Dressing and Décor Team - Preparation of the Church for liturgical celebrations and special events is vital to the smooth running of our church. Volunteers are essential for regular cleaning tasks, as well as the preparation of linens and flowers.
Counters and Bankers – Counter volunteers count the money from the weekly Mass collections. Individuals take this to the bank at an assigned time.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – Volunteers live out their baptismal commitment by assisting the Priest to serve the congregation in the distribution of the Body and Blood or Christ.
Finance Council – The Finance Council is the consultative body in the parish that assists the Parish Priest with the stewardship of the material goods of the parish and provides financial oversight of the parish. Members are appointed by the Parish priest and serve as financial consultants to the parish.
Laptop Operators – Laptop operators ensure the projection and sound system equipment is switched on and operating correctly. Volunteers switch off and secure all equipment at the conclusion of Mass.
Liturgy Committee Members – Volunteer Liturgy Committee members do important work on behalf of the parish by ensuring that the preparation, co-ordination, formation and evaluation of liturgy, provides opportunities for spiritual and practical formation for all.
Maintenance Team – The Maintenance Team monitor all dimensions of Parish property and advise the Parish priest and the Finance Council of projects that need addressing at short notice and for future planning.
Ministers of the Word – Ministers of the Word convey the meaning of the Scriptures to the assembly through the enthusiastic, careful and prayerful reading of the scriptures.
Music Ministry Leaders – Volunteer Music Ministers lead the assembly in prayer through music. Music enhances the Gospel theme for the Mass and encourages all ages, young and old, to deepen their relationship with God and each other through music.
Parish Leadership Team – The Parish Leadership Team is a group of parishioners who endeavour to plan and implement the parish vision and to empower other groups to thrive in their ministry and remain vision oriented. The Leadership Team consists of representative members of other groups of the parish.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults – R.C.I.A. is the process by which the unbaptised, and baptised Christians of other faith traditions, are especially invited to explore the Catholic faith. Volunteers lead adults over the age of 18 in this exploration.
Sacramental Program – The Parish Sacramental program is family-centred and parish-based. This program is a partnership in which families and the parish community work together in the preparation and celebration of the Sacraments of Confirmation, Eucharist and Reconciliation. Volunteers are part of a team who guide children through these processes.
Youth Ministry – A Youth Group is a vibrant and active youth community where young parishioners (15 - young adults) can come together in friendship and fun, getting to know each other and engaging with our faith. Volunteers who become youth leaders build a sense of community within the youth of the parish and provide opportunities for both spiritual and social development.
